More examples of how i've helped develop businesses

Pristine Clean

Clearstone Solutions

Clearstone Solutions

  • Brief: My client was a self employed cleaner, based in rural Sussex. Based in an affluent area, she had a positive customer-relationship, however she did not have enough clients to fill her time and was unsure how to gain more.
  • Solution: I analysed competitors to conclude that this business needed to stand out as exceptional in order to compete with other larger-scale companies in the area. I worked with my client to create a clear business purpose and identity profile, customer profile and a new complete brand specifically to communicate directly to the client's customers.  I also educated the client on the basics of marketing, and implemented an accessible marketing strategy plan. Through this plan, I designed unique marketing such as business cards featuring illustrations and testimonials to keep them personable, and placemats with referral vouchers on the reverse.
  • Results: With my support, my client now understands her business, her customers, and how effectively communicate with them in way that they can't help but shout about. My client became fully-booked out within two months of the marketing strategy being rolled out. Consequently, due to increase in demand, the company expanded, hiring an employee within six months.

  • Brief: My client was a long-standing and reputable national cleaning company (est.1974). The company had recently undergone a re-structure and needed to re-establish and solidify brand values to provide clarity to both staff and customers.
  • Solution: I worked with the CEO and a sample group of staff to establish the important elements of the company. I recognised that the brand values were strong among senior staff, but not communicated effectively to the rest of the team. Consequently, I designed and created an employee handbook, in part-storybook-style, to reinforce Clearstone family/business values. I also designed and delivered staff training and appraisals in order for complete staff clarity.
  • Results: My client reported the business to be running successfully since my input on the importance of brand values and communication, most notably the staff retention and understanding on how the business and brand works had improved.

  •  Brief: My client was a charitable organisation responsible for running an annual LGBT festival (450,000 attendees). I was brought on board to improve the overall backstage main stage experience due to the high-status of acts due to perform. Due to my client being a charitable organisation, the challenge was set to deliver an impressive backstage area on an incredibly low budget.
  • Solution:  I worked with the backstage management to establish theme and design. By collaborating with other local organisations and businesses I delivered props, bars, and decor. I also used reclaimed and recycled wood and organised volunteers to build up-cycled, on-trend seating areas. In addition, to focus on the VIP guest journeys, I designed and delivered personalised messages and gifts in each artist's dressing room.
  • Results: My first year involved saw a record number of profit made at the event. Backstage staff fed-back on how impressed they were by the vast improvements from the previous year. I was also notified that two of the headline acts also took their personalised gifts home with them.

  • Brief: My client has been trained as a masseuse and wanted to set up and run as a sole trader, massaging as a business. My client wanted to establish branding before she felt she could begin advertising her services.
  • Solution: I worked closely with my client to understand her journey to her business, and to establish the things which she deemed most important for her customers to understand of her business. Consequently, I developed and designed a brand to communicate pain relief, understanding, and long-term care to my client's customers. I produced her logo, accompanying branding and some printed marketing materials including bookmarks, gift vouchers and loyalty cards.
  • Results: My work has enabled my client to have confidence in her own brand. My client was impressed how I went beyond what was required to deliver her new branding.  My client's customers have frequently noted on the businesses' professional appearance.
